Such is the new relationship between Beekeeper John Duran and Lost and Found Inc. Mr. Duran attends one of the churches that support us – Grace Bible Church of Lakewood. He says that when he started attending GBC he felt “battered so much by life” that he struggled to just get up to greet the sun each morning. But, he soon began to realize healing and his angst melted away. So, with renewed spirit he went back to what he likes to do – “meet the sun.” His take on life: “It doesn’t matter if you fall – just fall forward. That way you know you’re making progress.” |

John’s bees work very hard, as bees are inclined to do in their short lives (30 days, tops).
But, there is a bee crisis – and John is focused on saving the honey bees. Over the last three years more than one in three honey bee colonies has died nationwide, posing a serious risk to our natural food supply. Honey bees pollinate crops; one out of every three bites of food is attributed to honey bee pollination. Colony Collapse Disorder means that the honey bees desert their hive and die.
