Mission StatementLost and Found’s Community Based Services (CBS) is dedicated to providing community-based intervention, counseling, and support services designed to reunify, preserve and strengthen family systems, avoid out-of-home-placement, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Lost and Found Community Based Services (CBS) provides family stabilization for youth returning home after being in placement for at least 30 days and preemptive family preservation for youth identified as being at-risk for out-of-home placement. The CBS team works with the parent(s), the youth, and other involved supports to help create a safe, stable family environment. The CBS team will assist the family with learning how to access the resources available in the family, peer, school, work, spiritual, and community environments. This short-term (4 to 6 months typically) intensive family intervention provides an effective, lower cost alternative to more expensive out-of-home placements.
